Disappointed - not very intuitive. Having used Cored Draw when it first came out about 15 to 20 years ago? Should be easy right? Should not have to labor thru a manual. Selected some text to be edited and a tool bar with about 8 icons appeared.
Good start. But, hovering the cursor over the various icons and Corel did not automatically identify their function. So, try one, then another, and Undo undesired changes as we go. Finally, found one that made the changes, but it "unbolded" the font, when all the surrounding font was bold.
Also no option to make it bold, on that simple edit. So, search around to find how to make it bold, and another 10 to 20 minutes blown. This is very basic, and should be EASY. But, with all the good intuitive programs that have been developed, especially by experienced companies, like Corel, I would think that they could have done a lot better.
This program is reminiscent of the powerful but hard-to-use Nuance programs. I will probably invest some time, grudgingly, reading the manual to find out how to make the few trivial changes needed, that should be self evident. Update to follow. Simple - the product would not load then after hours of dealing with Corel's customer service and Amazon's customer service I simply learned that its incompatible with my system.

It was blank as if I never even put text in that part of the document. This made me look terrible in front of my client who thought that I did not proofread the document. It happened to me with at least three different documents, no matter what I did to try to fix the problem. I've decided the software is useless to me because of this issue.

In light of the disc version not working and in light of Adobe not responding -- not even returning the disc, I think that I'll stick with Pdf Xchange. I have tried some other software to do PDF -this one works fine.
One of the comment I read from Amazon was to try it for free from the manufacture's web site it's full featured. I did then I bought it for less from Amazon. The key code printed on the tag that comes on the disk will unlock the trial software too. It works on window 7 with 64 bit. Pro: The best feature is how easy it is to attach multiple pdf's and move them around. It has a lot of other features that I don't use. I need to red line and cloud item that I object too with red marked comments.
This software will not let you draw anything but it does allow high lighting the topic with colored comments. It's not exactly the same but it works. The software that allows that type of drawing mark up cost a lot more like Adobe and Nitro.
I use nitro pro on my other machine that has windows Vista. The other feature that is poor is that cropping cannot be windowed. Cropping is done by using numbers and dimensions- very strange and time consuming. I was pleased with this product and am using it constantly. It's a good tool that is simple to use. I didn't bother to read the instructions and I was up and running. My hat off to Corel.
It does not allow you to simply click on a text field and edit it. No, sirree Bob! You must select text fields for each blank that you wish to fill in. Unfortunately, many of the people who write these forms to fill in doctor's offices, etc.
Saving it does not preserve what you typed in its proper place. By that I mean that the bottoms of a lot of text entries are cut off, and this also falls under the "uneven look" problem. Printing from Corel is also a formidable problem, in that even if you save what you type, the printout can treat your document as if you did not type anything at all and I cannot explain further beyond that.
About Corel the company-- I tried to go on their site to complain, but they won't let you just register a complaint and leave it be for an answer. They want you to go through these hoops: one, create an account; two, register your product.
The account creation more-or-less went off without a hitch, but the registration ran into a horrible roadblock. They ask for your serial number: I found it on the envelope with the installation CD, and I put it in just as it came. Unfortunately, they say that the format is incorrect! This I do not understand, as I included all the dashes that the serial number had. I tried again, and they still insist "incorrect format. If you're just scanning and pasting, this is the one you want.
If you're going from spreadsheets to Word to WordPerfect, scanning tables into word and other forms, then back through Corel fusion.? It wouldn't work, naw! For basic editing without fancy tables, frames The fusion is the one to go with. It's stable and cheap. This was after I compared: Nitro, Adobe-whatever top of the line- now this one did all of the forms and everything better than any pdf editor, but it to had flaws with tables and fancier graphics.
GPH-forgot the official program, but createspace. Ver: 1. Which would I buy if money were no object? Adobe 2. Nitro At the end of the day, one is just as good as the other, for now.
Corel needs to write something for the new.
